Dr. Ben Carson: Pres. Obama Has Worsened the “Abominable” Black Unemployment Rate

ben-carsonDr. Ben Carson, a famous neurosurgeon, has risen as a hero to some for taking a stance against the policies of the Democratic Party, and also speaking up against those policies at an event that featured President Barack Obama.  Dr. Carson, who grew up with a single mother to become one of the most highly-respected doctors in history, has continued to ride the wave of momentum from his last speech by speaking out on the economic policies of the Obama Administration, stating that they’ve been harmful to black Americans.

“If President Obama wants to be a hero in the African American community, he should do something to alleviate the “abominable” black unemployment rate in America,” says Dr. Carson.

Dr. Carson is currently the head of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.   He recently told the Christian Post that the Obama Administration has played a role in worsening black unemployment.   According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, black unemployment is 13.8 percent, which is more than double the rate for whites, which stands a 6.6 percent.

The Obama Administration hasn’t spoken to the racial disparity, claiming that broad economic policies should also help the black community.  The evidence says that this policy has not yet shown itself to be effective.  Over the last year, black unemployment has dropped just .4 percent, while white unemployment has dropped by rate that was three times higher.

“I think the best thing that he (President Obama) can possibly do that will help minorities is to enact policies that allow for growth of the economy,” said Carson. “Because when you look at the employment rate for instance in the African American community, it’s abominable. And the policies that have been enacted have only made it worse. They have not made it better. So if he really wanted to be a hero in that community, let’s start doing some things that make sense economically and get the money flowing.”

Ben Carson is a sell out to the white establishment. We have heard many people give the same stats that Carson gave. You will notice that he only started making these statements when President Obama was elected. If he is/was so concerned where was he wen Reagan, Bush one and Bush two were in office. Not a peep. Now that FOX is paying him to criticize President Obama and Democrats he is everywhere. Have you heard one word from Ben Carson about the Ryan Budget or Voter Suppression, minimum wage or the Dream Act and I could go on and on. No, you haven’t heard one word from this paid turn coat until President Obama was elected. Much of what Carson has said is true however he is saying it to foster hate and make money for himself.

Blacks are so afraid of holding Obama accountable. I’m just gonna keep it simple. Yes, racism – the word that Black America is afraid to touch now seems to be non-existent in the mind of the president. And he seems to enjoy scolding blacks. Obama says he wants to improve circumstances for all Americans. However, I wonder how sincere and realistic he is in his efforts when he makes a claims to be everyone’s president and that we all need to come together to create change; especially since this idea is not shared by all Americans. Other Americans could care less what blacks are going through. Blacks have the highest unemployment rate and since Obama has been in office whenever the Black leaders seek him for a “black agenda” – he insists that we need to be “united” in the United States – something that has never happened in America since America has been a nation. And United to what end? Who else in this country has voiced a concern about the state Black Americans are in? Amongst the Americans in this country – whose circumstances are as deplorable as a group as Black Americans? Americans have always swept racial inequality under the rug. How are we ever going to be united as long as this issue is not properly addressed? Even though blacks are ravaged by social injustices and poverty – imprisoned, crime rate ridiculously high, education disproportionate and jobs limited – Americans who are citizens here and who are not black do not feel a moral sense of obligation to aid or even discuss the plight that African Americans in this country face. And when he addresses the American black people he does so in a way that uncovers everything that’s wrong with our own communities as if we got that way all by ourselves. And how is uncovering all of our flaws helping blacks? I guess he’s perfect. And of course no other race has marital problems or dysfunctional families. And to add insult to injury he takes a crowd of black folks and preaches to us about how we need to clean up our own homes- having babies out of wed-lock and absentee fathers etc….and claims we are out of excuses. He’s always claiming that we need to take responsibility for ourselves. Why does he heap all Americans in one category as if blacks are not and were never disproportionately affected by poverty and crime and ratty educational options? That is the problem. Why is he doing this to blacks who are largely a matriarchal society? The largest number of black Americans that supported him were black women. I heard somewhere that the average pay for a black woman in this country is $5.00 an hour. Obama won’t even address black women. He’s talking to men…many of who are in prison and don’t even have a right to vote. Go figure! And yet he just uses his all inclusive argument as if everyone started on a level playing field. I’m everybody’s president and rallying for change for all Americans… but by the way – black people fix your own homes does not set well with me.

Dr. Carson does not have to give figures and time tables, he is not running for office. He was just reiterating the obvious and if it’s being done in the opening by our President than why should it not be soken of in the opening.
I think our president has been riding on “the I’m black and that’s all they need” ticket. What we as a people need is for our issues to be addressed by the party we as a people voted for. If he can change adjust policies for the Gays and Lations, damit than why not us we voted for him too.

We are entitled to our opinions but not making up our own facts. Shame on Ben Carson for making statements w/o citing his sources. He of all people should know better. And does Carson have a company or the ability to hire some black folks? Has he made efforts to champion reducing black unemployment? It is easier to talk “smack” but hader to actually put your money where your mouth is. Maybe now that Carson is retiring he will open a company and hire mostly black people. I’m sure that will help bring down the unempoyment rate of blacks folks.

Dr. Ben Carson is a brilliant physician. I don’t think that persons who do not exercise their right to vote, have political voice.

The Society does not allow for its witnesses to participate in the political process. Heard him recently expounding on his devout beliefs as a Jehovah Witness.

Get the money flowing to the Johns Hopkins Community, where most of the properties are being purchased, demolished by his employer and displacing the people of the community and they are not being allowed to return after the gentrification of the community.

Perhaps he should consider advocating on that community level to restore the damage being done in East Baltimore.

Dr. Carson is an exceptionally brilliant and successful man, and so is President Barack Obama. Their success is undeniably due to their academic achievements, notwithstanding any obstacles to success they may have encountered, and their brilliance is a gift from birth.

However, as brilliant as Dr. Carson is, his attacks on our president are either naive or dishonest. Because of inherent biases dating back to the days of slavery, Dr. Carson is naive if he believes that blacks as a homogeneous group can ever achieve the same level of economic prosperity as other groups that are better educated, and he is dishonest in casting blame on the president for what we as a people have suffered, and endured, in every economic downturn.

What made this current downturn so especially harmful to black employment, however, is the fact that many of the jobs that require low skills to perform are now done overseas, thanks primarily to Republican policies that seek to line the pockets of corporate executives. Each time an executive saves a dollar by shifting production overseas, that dollar of savings goes primarily towards executive compensation. Fierce global competition, especially from China and India, are also to blame. No, America is no longer the only game in town.

To his credit, President Obama recognizes that many Americans (and I am certain he has blacks at the top of his list) are not trained to be brain surgeons and presidents, so he is doing his best to bring low-skilled manufacturing jobs back home.

It is naive for Dr. Carson to posture that the president should turn around in four years bad economic policies that date back thirty years. Far worse than naivety, however, is to know the truth but usurp it. Instead, Dr. Carson should be looking us in the eye and saying, “There aren’t as many low-skilled jobs to go around anymore, so it is especially important that you do what President Obama and I did: get a sound education.”

    TAP DANCING FOR THE KLAN

I’m not here to defend President Obama, because as I pointed out in previous articles, I have an issue or two with some of his policies myself, just like I’ve had with EVERY White president. But I think we owe this brother the benefit of the doubt. He’s plagued with enough problems in having to deal with world affairs and our domestic crisis, while at the same time, having to fight off racist Republicans and envious, self-serving turncoats like Tavis Smiley and Cornel West. So we shouldn’t add yet another problem to his plate by forcing him to have to worry about whether he has the support of his own people.
    .
To be quit frank, I think there are only two kinds of people in this world – good people, and bad people. In addition, I believe the battle over race was a part of the last war. Those who are enlightened recognize that the current battle is over class, because the current powers that be don’t care any more about poor and middle-class White folks than they do Black people. Most White people recognize that fact. That’s why Obama is president. So while I often write about what’s in the best interest of the Black community as a whole, I rarely make race a part of my personal political calculations.
    .
But I consider the presidency of Barack Obama a unique situation, and what we’ve been watching with respect to many Black Obama critics should be regarded as a teaching moment, because it represents a cultural dysfunction that’s been played out thousands of times over the past four hundred years. Many of us have heard stories about Black self-hatred all of our lives, but due to President Obama’s high profile we now have the opportunity, as an entire culture, to see it being played out in all of its ugliness for the very first time.
    .
But of course, there are going to be a few of Obama’s critics who are going to ask, “What are you saying, that Obama should be above criticism just because he’s Black?” Of course not, and the people who pose such a ridiculous question know that’s not what I’m saying before they even ask it. But just asking such a disingenuous question should also serve as a teaching moment – it shows the extraordinary lengths that such people will go to mask their “bligotry.”
    .
Questioning President Obama’s policies is not the problem – it’s the mean-spirited way in which it’s being done. In fact, Black haters are not merely questioning Obama’s policies at all. More often than not these people are simply using policy differences as a pretext for making slanderous assertions about the president’s character as a whole – he’s a “war criminal,” “a black mascot of Wall Street oligarchs and a black puppet of corporate plutocrats,” “a Rockefeller Republican in Blackface,” and even, “He has a certain rootlessness, a deracination” [WHAT!!!?]. Notice that three out of the four slanders are racial in nature, and these quotes are from just one man – Cornel West.
    .
None of the criticisms above were legitimate attempts to address the president’s public policies. They were racial slanders, clear and simple. That clearly demonstrates that many Black Obama-haters are not nearly as interested in addressing public policy as they are in attacking the man himself. These slanders also demonstrate that their allegation that people who object to their criticism are merely Obama cheerleaders. That’s not true – what we’re against is what we’ve always been against – racist attacks.
    .
But even those haters who have the good sense to refrain from blatant, racist attacks often make themselves known by going over the top in their allegations regarding policy. They’ll often say things like, “Obama is a part of the machine.” But since we’re not privy to the information that Obama is basing his decisions upon, nor his motives for making any given decision, any allegation being made about him being a part of any “machine” are wholly without supporting substantiation at best. Critics who suggest this are merely commenting on what things LOOK like to their jaundiced eye – or what they’re trying to convince you to think they look like – without having a shred of evidence to support their views. Their allegations have no more basis in fact than that of the birthers.
    .
The reality is, being the first Black President of the United States, Obama can’t approach the nation’s problems in the same way that they were approached by his White predecessors. In many cases he has to take a circuitous approach to addressing issues in order to prevent the GOP from mischaracterizing his efforts with their very special kind of malevolent spin. Thus, the way that things may look, may not always be what they seem. So anyone who would lend comfort to the most steadfast enemies of the Black community by helping to drag this Black man through the mud is on what my good friend, Playthell Benjamin, would call, a fool’s errand.
    .
There were people in the Tea Party who were consistently calling Obama a terrorist sympathizer, right up until he brought Osama Bin Laden’s head home in a bag. Bush spent nearly eight years and close to a trillion dollars trying to pull that off with no success, but Obama did it with three helicopters and a handful of courageous men, without busting a sweat bubble – and he did it while America thought he was just kickin’ it.
    .
So this brother ain’t no punk, and he’s not the kind of person we should second guess without very good cause. So yes, I think everyone in the Black community should get behind this brother – period. If we have a comment on policy, we should voice our concern, but we should do it politely, and very respectfully. Because while Obama is, and should be, the president of ALL of America, he is also the most high profile representative of the Black community in the entire world. So to be disrespectful of him, is to be disrespectful of us; and his success, is our success.
    .
With regard to Cornel West, I can only say this – any Black man who tries to publicly engage in the Dozens against the first Black President of the United States cannot be regarded as a serious intellectual. He deserves very close scrutiny, because his behavior is not only disrespectful of the president, but it betrays a gross disdain for the Black community as a whole. So he can say whatever he likes about his motives, but his behavior lends comfort to the most dedicated enemies of the Black community. Thus, the issue is not even debatable – the stupidity he’s engaged in amounts to tap dancing for the Klan.

Many times responses are made without solutions, concrete ideas and thoughts. If I as a parent permit my teenage sons to run the streets like packs of wild dogs any hour of night, then complain about crime in my neighborhood, I’M A HYPROCRITE, and a failure as a parent, we need to solve some of our own issues before we look to the powers that be to help us…..

The president of the United States is extremely influential WHEN HE CHOOSES TO BE.

Everyone knows the GOP keeps itself relavent by challenging everything he does, but that doesnt account for alot of the problems with this admin. GOP doesnt have any say in his foreign policy. We always make the assumptions that black people are strong, Black people would never do this or that, but when someone give us a dream we seem to do the things we say we would never do. the truth is that Obama does nothing for the black community… He doesnt have to

Negroes have already given him there votes without requiring anything of him. He knows blacks will vote for him regardless of what he does, so he can ignore us and still get the votes he got in the past election.

Obama wouldnt dare ignore the hispanic community or the gay community or the jewish community because he knows that would cost him their votes. Those groups are SERIOUS and they understand how politics works.. constituencies must come an agreement with politicians BEFORE they commit their votes.

Looking some of the comments on this board? I understand why we have no political power and our communities are ruined. Black folks are not serious and are ignorant when it comes to politics. If you look around, you can see the costs of that ignorance all over the country

I cannot put into words how I strongly DESPISE this president’s foreign policy. It is the same imperial policy that Bush practiced..In fact its worse!

Im also not a big fan of his domestic policy. I understand the games being played on the domestic front by the GOP, so that makes it more difficult for him to accomplish anything, but ultimately his admin has been lackluster (as someone said above basically cherry picking Reagan & Clinton policies) trying to implement policies that dont fit the current problems.

Just a few things… (& this is bush’s and Obama’s failure) this is just basic… the banks crashed the economy and almost bankrupted us all. If we were seriously trying to restart the economy, we would have bailed out the public, not the banks. Propping up d**d and failed banks is not a serious way to re start the economy. They are bigger now and still predisposed to gamble our money and c***h the economy again. HSBC laundered money for Al Qaeda, Mexican drug cartels and the government prosecuted NO ONE. But if a regular citizen (Anwar Awlaki) and his 16 year son) Preach too much about Al Qaeda then they get drone missiles dropped on their heads. NDAA allows them to k**l anyone they wish anywhere in the world without due process or over sight.

The president signed this bill when he knows it is TREASON against the public.

Black folks had better wake up and do it fast, because the whole country (in fact the world) is in very serious crisis and we will need every last sane person on this planet to avert a very horrible future that is definitely on the horizon.

The situation is much more complicated than he indicates. First if ones postulates that if the middle class could prosper jobs will become more available. Consequently more income would be available to spend therefore employers would be able to employ more workers this would be a start. Early education, preK is a long term solution

Carson is naive if he believes that blacks as a homogeneous group can ever achieve the same level of econonmic prosperity as other groups that are better educated, and he is dishonest in casting blame on the president for what we as a people have suffered, and endured, in every economic downturn.

Carson to posture that the president should turn around in four years bad economic policices that date back thirty years. Far worse than naivety, however, is to know the truth but usurp it. Instead, Dr. Carson should be looking us in the eye and saying, “There aren’t as many low-skilled jobs to go around anymore, so it is especially important that you do what President Obama and I did: get a sound education.”

Are we doing everything that we should to find a job, ate we all actively looking for work? Ate the business owners hiring other members of our community. Is this really an Obama problem or ate we just not doing our part?

Why is it that Carson has no words of condemnation for Boehner, who clearly could allow legislative initiative in the House to carry forth that would be beneficial to the African American employment situation? What critique has he given to McConnell, Eric Cantor, Rand Paul, et al regarding his (Carson’s) concern for the plight of Black America? Is he confident that their actions and responses to proposed legislation brought forth by the White House is in the best interest of Black people? Ben Carson is proving himself over and over again to being the shill for right-wing puppet masters who seek to trot out their “boy” in an effort to deflect attention away from themselves. His personal story of self-initiative is a good one, but is hardly unique in the African-American community. If it walks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it’s an Uncle Tom.

More crime=fewer fathers in our communities. Fewer fathers=fewer people standing. Fewer people standing=letting him help them ruin the black community.

Our young males are not taking advantage of the opportunties in higher education and training to keep up in this high tech economy. As parents we must demand the best from our youth…….finishing high school, going to college or other institutions of higher education and taking math and science courses that will afford them better job opportunities in todays work force. If we continue on the present course we are doomed for future failures.

Ahhh, once again the typical paradigm of Black People need a ‘so-called’ leader to help us. In this corner of the WWE match we have Barry Obama and in the next corner we have Dr. Carson. But of all the comments no one mentions that we don’t need either one really. Black people spend more money than any other group in this country. The Black Hair Care industry alone is Billions of dollars per year. The Black Church sucks tax-free money out of our community by the Billions of dollars every year. How many Black people do you know working at the hair care factory? Besides buying Pastor Porkchop that new Bentley that is made at another factory they don’t allow you to work at. When was the last time a Church built a training school for electronics, craftmenship or programming in your community with all the millions of dollars they collect every year, tax free? When was the last time they had a STD tessting day for everyone in the community? Right. They don’t because like sheep y’all are still depending on someone to fly down out of the sky and save you from your sorry existence when the power to save yourself is right in front of you. But you are so used to being told who to like, who to listen to and what you can ask from people who want you to listen to them. You do nothing and keep dying. We don’t need Barack or this other fool. We have enough money and even the skills to survive on our own without ever giving one penny or a job to anyone else’s community. You have just been trained since birth to hate each other so much and love everyone else that it will never happen. You will never drive out these Arabs and own your own liquor stores, you will never take back your Black hair care industry from these Koreans. You like being slaves and you like listening to people lie to you decade after decade with their false promises of fixing your problems. When you are your own problem. Because you believe every lie they tell you. How the heck do most of have the internet, a computer, probably a nice car in the drive-way, cable, probably a closet full of name brand clothes and at the same time you’re supposed to be broke just cause they told you so? No one is even having that argument anymore trying to get you to stop spending money on garbage like your bad habits, hair and clothes. But you don’t even want to buy it from your own. lol. Just face it. The Black Community is d**d. Turn out the lights. It doesn’t matter who wins this fake debate between these two men because we already lost.

Every single black person is smart enough to own their own business. Black folks have the answers right in the palm of their hands but lack the ability to want to use it. There are a host of black people starting businesses that don’t even possess the experience but get the knowledge as they go. Blacks cannot keep on pointing the fingers at someone else; be accountable for you. Well, the good news is, YOU CAN MAKE IT! You know darn well you can, you just need to start and know that you can make it. It’s not, “IF YOU TRY”, but it’s, “WHEN YOU TRY”. Blacks have always been told that they will never amount to anything and that was just a darn lie. But, some black folks give into the stereotypes and start believing the BS. You are better than any chains that bind you; break the chains! You are better than any rope that holds you; c*t the ropes! Blacks need to stop saying what they need to do and start doing it. Blacks can start their own neighborhood watches, making sure that their kids, especially teens, are in-doors at a decent time. All the gang activity that goes on can be stopped, these parents know what their kids are doing). Blacks can police their own streets and bring corruption to an end. Some are just too scared to. So what are more solutions? Look within yourselves.

I’m not here to hear the sob stories because all black folks do is make excuses of why someone should be helping them. Well, what if President Obama never existed? What if blacks could start their own businesses? The answers are: President Obama does exist and blacks should be optimistic that he is working on black issues. And, black folks can start their own business and be successful at it. You’ll never know “when” you don’t try. There’s a wealth of knowledge that one can obtain to get started. Start by going online to: Small Business Association.

Some black folks need to give the President a chance to get the issues prepared. This being his second term, there should be no reason why he can’t fulfill the black issues. If you have a problem with our president, then write him a letter, send him an email, or do a group petition. That’s what all the other groups do when they want to be heard and want something done. Why can’t black people? Answer: WE CAN! And if President Obama is not willing to deal with the black issues, then so be it. All one can do is to keep applying the pressure until he delivers.

I’m in the process of starting my own business because I know I can. I CAN AND I WILL. I’m going to hire as many black people as I possibly can and get them training as needed. It’s time black folks stopped talking and start doing. I’m optimistic and moreover, I love my black people! NO EXCUSES!

    Oppositional defiant disorder

    Since MD Ben Carson’s new
role assignment seem to be to recklessly diagnois the political order I will use my expertise to more carefully and acurately diagnois him and other sufferers of internalized American White Racism’s White Supremacy Complex. The irrational doctrine of White supremacy demands that all non White Beings forever remain in a state of childhood. So true to form Dr. Ben Carson and others who now side with the ideology that is Slavery and Jim Crow and Jim Junior suffer from this Psychological Childhood disorder. They only respect the authority of White folks. Why else were they silent during the 8 year reign of Cheney/Bush? What we are experiencing now is actually the outworkings of Reaganomics!!!

Oppositional defiant disorder is a pattern of disobedient, hostile, and defiant behavior toward authority figures.

In the case of today’s OBAMA hate the oppositional defiance is only toward BLACK authority.Very SICK, very, very sickening to behold in the year 2013.

    Causes, incidence, and risk factors

This disorder is more common in boys than in girls. Some studies have shown that it affects 20% of school-age children. However, most experts believe this figure is high due to changing definitions of normal childhood behavior, and possible racial, cultural, and gender biases.

This behavior typically starts by age 8, but it may start as early as the preschool years. This disorder is thought to be caused by a combination of biological, psychological, and social factors.

    Symptoms

Actively does not follow adults’ requests

    Angry and resentful of others

    Argues with adults

    Blames others for own mistakes

Has few or no friends or has lost friends

Is in constant trouble in school

    Loses temper

    Spiteful or seeks revenge

    Touchy or easily annoyed

To fit this diagnosis, the pattern must last for at least 6 months and must be more than normal childhood misbehavior.

The pattern of behaviors must be different from those of other children around the same age and developmental level. The behavior must lead to significant problems in school or social activities.

The President doesn’t “enact” laws. Legislators do and last I checked, this congress wasn’t the least bit interested in enacting any such policies. If the Good Dr. would like to explain how the President is supposed to force a congress that is content with allowing draconian cuts to damage the economy to get behind targeted spending aimed at black people I am all ears, otherwise he should just shut up and go back to healing his patients.

Here we go again. Dr. Carson has said that the President hasn’t spoken to the racial disparity claiming that broad economic policies he expouses should help the Black community. Dr. Carson goes on by saying “he thinks that the the best thing the President can do is to enact policies that allow for growth of the economy.

Maybe we should take a close look at just what the President proposals are:

    1. Investing in American manufacturing
    2. Training American workers (including Blacks) for
the high tech manufacturing jobs of the future
    3. Ending tax breaks for companies that ship jobs
    overseas.
    4. Opening new markets for American -made products
will make the U.S. more competive and will create
new jobs and bring back jobs to the U.S.

The recent report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics
shows that private sector businesses added 246,000 jobs in February 2013. The economy has added private sector jobs every month for three straight years for a total of 6.35 MILLION jobs.

Just imagine if Dr. Carson could get the Congress to pass the JOB BILLS held up in Congress by the “Tea Party” which would rebuild America all of us would be rejoicing.

Remember before the elections the Republicans promised if Romney won they would focus on JOBS, JOBS, JOBS.

Romney lost and now it’s obstruction, obstruction,

True, African Americans are going through h**l now than probably some while back. I do not fault the good doctor for his findings, neither do I think that President Obama went out of his way to deliberetely worsen Black unemployment, that would sound very preposterous to think so.
The kernel of Black economic woes lie in the strengthening of existing Civil Rights laws and codes, especialy as regards employment, and a host of other economic activities. I doubt very seriously the President is thinking along those lines. If he is, and given what I see him go through on a daily basis with Conress, the members of that body of government are stiffling his energy, blocking the President’s views to seeing that sensitve area of Civil Rights. The President should forge ahead undaunted in navigating this sacrosanct terrain of Civil Rights. If Abraham Lincoln, a White President did it, despite the hostilities that he faced, Obama should be able to do that, afterall he – Obama – is the President. I say this because this is a job he asked for, and got. The proverbial ball is on his court. Abe Presided over a warring nation to advance his policies of fairness. That is why, nearly 150 years later, he is the most talked about President of the United States. Lincoln was good man; very fair minded, and better than President Grover Cleveland, or any other 42, in that category, and who(Cleveland)tantalizingly, rode on the waves of being “honest”, but was conspicuously, and copiously blind to the issues of Civil Rights.
I feel certain that President Obama will agree with me on these issues, especially my reference to Lincoln, afterall he,Obama, on both his Swearing – In ceremonies, used Abraham Lincoln’s Bible, not that of Andrew Johnson, his predecessor, and who agrguably, and ironically, is America’s worst President, no tact, no education, just a good-for-nothing President.
What I think Dr. Carson is hinting is for the President to re-visit existing Civil Rights laws. He – Carson – is hinting that the President should display Lincoln- like courage in doing just that. The said Civil Rights laws form a very huge crack and set of fissures through which most corporations seep and slip through undetected. So the President should go after them in the same way and fashion he was able to go after Osama Bin Ladin.

Dr. Carson either doesn’t understand the three branches of government and how policy is passed in this country. Or he’s a tea party rebulican in scrubs. 1. He wasnt specific as to which policy President Obama has enacted that was responsible for keeping blacks unemployed and growth at such low levels. 2. Dr. Carson failed to point out how a hostile congress rejects EVERY policy Pres. Obama has initiated to stimulate the economy.

So are you implying that everything the President has proposed was correct and should not have been challenged or blocked?

I find it hard to believe, so very many of us are willing to give our President a pass on every single thing!

That would make him a Dictator wouldn’t it?

How can so many find absolutely no fault with the President what so ever! It must be emotion rather than fact.

I remember hearing Dr. Carson’s story years ago and was so inspired by it. He appeared to be a very decent and humble human being. Why is he now spewing his message to Pat Robertson and the likes of him. Why doesn’t he come to the hood and share his talents with those who could really use them? I am really baffled as to where he is going with this. Could it be Obama jealousy? Our President has done a remarkable job with both hands tied behind his back. He does not make the laws. How he has managed to keep this country together is nothing short of miraculous. The good doctor must have another agenda. Very disappointing.

I am a medical physician and I strongly disagree with Dr. Ben Carson. I use to admire Dr. Carson, but now I am turned off by his recent statements!!!! Our President, Barack Obama, has done an AMAZING JOB in administering the duties of his office despite the PREJUDICE, and the HATRED the Republican Party demonstrates on a daily basis. The disrespect our President has endured is unprecedented. By the grace of God, President Obama’s policies will be successful despite the negativity.

Dr.Ben Carson should take some of HIS MONEY and start effective programs to “get the money flowing” in the minority communities. GET ALL MINORITY FOOTBALL PLAYERS/BASKETBALL PLAYERS/BASEBALL PLAYERS/ENTERTAINERS/AND PROFESSIONALS TO GIVE BACK TO THESE COMMUNITIES BY CREATING MEANINGFUL EMPLOYMENT FOR THE YOUTH AND SEED CAPITAL FOR MINORITY BUISNESSES. These are times to get the creative juices going for self-empowerment instead of always LOOKING TO THE GOVERNMENT FOR HELP!! These times are an opportunity for us to HELP EACH OTHER INSTEAD OF TEARING EACH OTHER DOWN !!!!!!!!!

Dr. P, with all due respect, this is just what n***ers do. They hate success and especially successful Blacks. Jealousy, envy, low self-esteem and everything in between has always plagued Black America. Rather than trying to unite Black people by using the accomplishments of the President to inspire and elevate they continue with the “crab-in-the-barrel” mentality. The rule is “the smarter you think you are the more white you think you are”.

Dr. Carson can benefit from Obama’s mental health care. He has lost his mind. He can take his millions to the black people on the west side of Chicago or Baltimore. He could even build an entire shopping mall in the heart of the Ghetto and hire a lot of black people. He can go one step further and get some of the black entertainers to help black people. Here is a list he can pull from as reported in Forbs Magazine:

Kanye West, $35 million, Sean Combs $45.million, Lil Wayne $27 millions, Bryan Williams $20 million, Nicki Minaj $15 millions, Jay Z Carter 38 million. Not to mention all the triple millionairs sports figures. Yall could have a major shopping mall in every state, if all the actors and actresses pitched in a few millions. Sad isn’ it? Think small, live small. What have you done for me lately mentality is at work here.

I totally agree with Dr. Carson, if Pres Obama spent time creating jobs for Americans, we could stimulate the economy, when Americans are working, they spend their money here in America, instead he concentrates on passing amnesty for 35-40 millions illegals in this country, afterwhich, who will go back to their country and bring the rest of their family here.
Then we have the gays, The Pres has never spent time in the military and had the audacity to overturn don’t ask, don’t tell, even though the military did not agree with it,and the pass gay rights..like he’s not aware that the more you do for the gays, the more they want..there’s no end to this.

Mind you he is a DR foremost and knows very little how the political system works. Therefore he should stay in his lane!

In reference to the President, there is a legit point to be made about him as well. Eventhough we have voted for him in record numbers he has yet to address black people in this country directly. His first term I understood because he would have terrified many whites, but there is no excuse now since he has bent over backwards for the gay and Latino communities. I’m really getting tired of defending him for his (and the democrats) inactions towards the black community. In all reality we need to start mobilizing to form a legit third party so that we can quit being ignored by the republicans and taken for granted by the democrats.

The president and his cabinet are apparently included in this group that has no real solutions. Obama has not done enough regarding unemployment among African Americans, and this is clear when you look at objective indicators, period. Does it mean that Obama is a bad guy out for Black folks, no. But, it does mean that he needs to step up his game in this area considerably. Carson did not bring this up, however, when one examines the actions/policies that Obama has implemented in his role as president with respect to African Americans, as well as what other presidents have been able to do, even factoring in his trouble with Congress, it is also clear that he can do more. I’m really tired of this knee-jerk response from Obamaites, that Black folks who question or critique Obama’s job performance, don’t understand the powers of the president is ridiculous to me. I am a business owner, educated, etc. I know many Black folks who work hard. I don’t expect him to be the black people’s president, blah, blah, blah, I do expect him to do his job that many Black folks elected him to do. So now, Dr. Ben Carson has to be a sell out because he is stating what the data shows and what many people are talking about. He is challenging Obama about his job performance and rightfully. I’m a Democratic who supported Obama in the 2008 election (i.e., financially, with my time, and by contributing hours of hard work on the ground) who had to come to the painful conclusion that Obama has not been a particularly good president with respect to key issues in the African American community, particularly in education (His policies have been a disaster) and economic development (We are not better off under this administration). We are all entitled to our opinions, but not the facts. I wonder how self-hating we have to be to attack a man – Dr. Carson, whose record and support for our community has been unwavering over more than a decade, and who is raising questions to ensure our social well-being, just because his questions have shed light on an area that Obama could well improve in?

Now as for Carson, he may not have given facts to back up his claim, but Ms Elinor is on to something here. Also, when have you heard the Prez say anything in reference to “black” folks? You haven’t? Why? Why not? Gsys, women and latinos are the one’s driving the New Democratic Party and if you don’t believe me, Check out sharpton… No Preacher of the so-called xtian faith would ever encourage men porking each other along the Hershey Highway, but he does. But read the text clearly, Carson says” if he(Obama) wants to be a HERO in THAT COMMUNITY, then lets start doing some things and get the money flowing!” Now I agree with getting the money flowing, but Carson removed himself also from our community because he sure did’nt say “my community”. We are fish, and instead of using worms and shrimp to catch us, they are using doughbait, and we b**e the hook everytime. Sickening!!! Maat….
