The 8 Principles of Black Male Empowerment: Dr. Boyce Watkins

black-male-empowerment

Black men are capable of greatness beyond our wildest imaginations.  But it is because of this greatness that they remain oppressed by the powers that be, convinced to embrace their own self-destruction, given pathways to either the prison or the morgue at a very early age.  We have failed many of our boys by not teaching them the things they need to know in order to grow into adequate husbands, fathers, citizens and leaders.  The destruction of a community starts with destroying the family.  To destroy the family, you can often start by getting rid of the male.  Far too often, millions of black men are marginalized and terminated before they ever have a chance to learn how great they can be.

In “The 8 Principles of Black Male Empowerment,” Dr. Boyce Watkins speaks candidly about the things that every black man must know in order to be a successful, liberated, empowered and responsible human being.  He teaches black men to be leaders rather than followers, and prepares them for the obstacles they are going to face in an historically racist society.   Rather than tell you more about the product, we’d rather share a testimonial:

Dr. Watkins,

I bought your audio lecture “The 8 principle’s to Black Male Empowerment”, and I have to tell you it was exactly what I needed to hear! I took it as a well deserved s**p in the face, because not only have I been a coward, I’ve been irresponsible and I’ve made some terrible choices. I’m one of the one’s that has plenty of potential, but has many excuses to my many shortcomings. It is a must that I do some severe soul searching so that I can turn my life around Dr. Watkins, and I think that listening to your lecture is a great start. I’m 22 years of age, I have a 4 year old son whom I rarely get to see, I’ve been to 4 different college’s with aspiration’s of obtaining a BA and I’ve only been able to complete an Associate’s degree! I’ve done below average college work since my arrival on the college scene in August, 2008, and It’s time that I looked in the mirror, stop blaming other’s, develop better study habits, develop a better work ethic, and reach my full potential. Yes, talk is dirt cheap, but I just had to inform you once again on the influence that you have on my life. I’m watching and listening. Ten bucks never went towards a greater investment!
