Cast Members of TLC Biopic Not Singing In Film

tlc226 Everyone has been waiting for the story of TLC to hit the circuit for quite some time and it is finally happening. With the cast of KeKe Palmer, Lil Mama and Drew Sidora in place, what else would need to be addressed? According to reports there is just one more thing. The girls will not be singing as TLC, in the film. Instead they will lip-sync to the tracks  It has been reported that KeKe Palmer, who is playing Chili in the biopic, was sad that they were not going to actually sing, but understood the decision.

She said, “I’m not going to be doing any singing. In the beginning I was sad about that. But at the same time I can also understand, because you want to hear the actual music,” she said. “It was their choice to keep the real music. I respect that. [I’ll be] learning tons of choreography. Luckily their original choreographer will be choreographing us. It’s so cool.”

Drew Sidora will play T-Boz, while Lil Mama will play the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes. It has been more than ten years since the death of Left Eye, but it feels like yesterday. Left Eye died tragically in a car accident in La Ceiba, Honduras, in 2002. Since that time, Chilli and T-Boz have tried to move forward. TLC started as the group ,Second Nature. At that time Chilli was not an original member of the group. When things went south with the 3rd member, Chilli, who was a dancer with the LaFace Records group Damian Dame, was brought in to replace her and TLC was born. TLC became a household name in 1992, with their album, Oooh….On The TLC Tip which sold more than six million copies worldwide.
