Fantasia Confronts Bloggers About Anti-GayTwitter Post

fantasiaSinger and former American Idol, Fantasia Barrino has attempted to set the record straight about her Instagram post.  Fantasia recently tweeted,”I Rise ABOVE IT ALL!!! THE WORLD IS GONE MAD. KIDS, THE GOVERNMENT, THE church House… Everybody Trying!!!!!!! Its a lot that going on that the Bible speaks about we should Not be doing. Weed legal in some places, Gay Marriage Legal BUT YET IM JUDGED!! Im not doing Nothing for you… My Life!!!!”

The blogs Good As You and Towleroad wrote about her post and criticized the singer heavily for her comment about gay marriage.  But Barrino says that her words were taken out of context. It is alleged that Barrino may have been reacting to being judged for her relationship with Antwaun Cook, who is still a married man.

In an effort to take her foot out of her mouth, Fantasia released the following statement.

“It has been brought to my attention that something I said was taken out of context.”“I Fantasia Monique Barrino don’t judge anyone because I don’t want to be judged. The gay community is one of my largest supporters. I support the gay community as well as they support me. Bloggers please stop misrepresenting the facts.”

What do you think? After reading Fantasia’s Instagram post, does it look like the singer was just venting about being judged?

  2. She has a right to have an opinion about gay marriage. She has every right to speak her mind. That's in the constitution.

  3. What is this? Thought Crime? She was putting into content why she feels no one should judge her. People make choices – allow her…

  4. Juanita MznAnt Eacholes

She stated that among all the things going on in the world ppl are are judging her for her affair. I don't think she was trynna judge them, but if all these other things are accepted then stop pointing the finger at her.
