Gregory Twyman was arrested after he called 911, asking for police: “I need the police, I just shot my girlfriend.”

When police arrived, Gregory was on his porch smoking a cigarette.  That’s when police went inside and found the body of Jamica Woods, the mother of his 18-year old daughter.   She’d been shot in the torso, according to police.

When he proudly posted the pictures of the alleged murder weapon on Facebook, friends asked him what it was:

“What is that bro???” a friend asked.

“A shell fool,” he responded.

“I’m calling the ATF on your a*s now… LOL….” his friend said, joking.

“Gon be too late,” Twyman said.

Sounds like he might have been thinking this one through for a long time.

Chief Keef (aka Keith Cozart) typically gets into spats with other teenagers on the south side of Chicago.  But now that corporate America has made him into a celebrity and role model, he is getting into fights with the Hollywood elite.

This week, Chief Keef released a song called “I hate being sober,” which is just the kind of stuff that record labels love to give out to black kids.  Katy took issue with the song, tweeting her concerns about the message.

“Just heard a new song on the radio called ‘I hate being sober’ I now have serious doubt for the world,’ she tweeted.

Of course Keef, who has a history of violence, wouldn’t allow himself to be disrespected by a woman.  So, Keef replied with the following:

“Dat b*tch Katy Perry Can Suck Skin Off Of my D*ck.”

He then finished off by stating “Ill Smack The Sh*t out her.”

Chief Keef is one foot out of a jail cell already.  He was just arrested this week in Atlanta, and is under the supervision of the criminal justice system in his home city of Chicago.  He was also tied to the murder of another rapper, Lil Jo Jo, who made a diss song about Keef and his friends.  Jo Jo’s’ mother believes that Keef played a role in getting her son killed.  He was celebrating Jo Jo’s murder on Twitter the day after he died.

A quote taken directly from an NYPD report:

• The likelihood a stop of an African American New Yorker yielded a weapon was half that of white New Yorkers stopped. The NYPD uncovered a weapon in one out every 49 stops of white New Yorkers. By contrast, it took the Department 71 stops of Latinos and 93 stops of African Americans to find a weapon.
• The likelihood a stop of an African American New Yorker yielded contraband was one-third less than that of white New Yorkers stopped. The NYPD uncovered contraband in one out every 43 stops of white New Yorkers. By contrast, it took the Department 57 stops of Latinos and 61 stops of African Americans to find contraband.

The report goes on to admit that 84 percent of those stopped are blacks and Latinos even though minorities comprise only 54 percent of the general population.

Another report done by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) found that out of 532,911 stop-and-frisk searches in 2012, just 729 guns were found.The overwhelming number of people who are being arrested in connection with ‘stop and frisk’ are being charged with marijuana possession, which was decriminalized in 1977. So the ‘stop and frisk’ program isn’t making the streets of New York safer, but it has been successful in putting more black and brown men behind bars for non-criminal acts.

Yesterday her friends threw Ms. Talley, who they lovingly refer to as Mother Talley, a lunch to celebrate her 114th birthday and encourage Talley to share a few words of wisdom.

The centenarian, who bowled until she was 101 and still has enough energy to dance, had a few words of wisdom for people at her birthday gathering.  As far as nutrition is concerned, Talley says she drinks coffee and not wine.

She also says she lives by the golden rule: “I want to treat everybody the way I want to be treated. If I give you any advice that same advice comes back to me,” said Talley.

Talley also encouraged everyone to use common sense.

“I don’t have much education but what little sense I got, I try to use it” concluded Talley.

Talley is the oldest person in America and the third oldest person in the world.

A series of images shared on Buzzfeed certainly show a different side of Trayvon.  They show him allegedly holding a gun, giving the middle finger, and talking to a friend about beating up another person for snitching.  The question though is whether or not these images play a role in determining what should have happened on the night he was killed.  Police told George Zimmerman not to follow Martin, but he did so anyway.  This created a situation that could have been avoided from the beginning.

As George Zimmerman’s trial continues, these images are going to continue to circulate the Internet, especially in conservative circles.  But so far, nothing that we’ve seen changes what should have happened on that night.  Had Zimmerman not chosen to profile and pursue Martin, none of this would have happened.

A Georgia girl is showing everyone around her that if you believe in yourself and work hard enough, then anything is possible.  Chelesa Fearce, a senior at Charles Drew High School, was homeless for most of her high school career.  She had to live in her  mother’s car at times, and is just now revealing this to the public.

“I just told myself to keep working, because the future will not be like this anymore,” Fearce said. “You’re worried about your home life and then worried at school. Worry about being a little hungry sometimes, go hungry sometimes. You just have to deal with is. You eat what you can, when you can.”

Chelsea was part of a family of five.  They would sometimes have a place to live, but this was not always the case.   Her mother did all she could to help the family, but it sometimes wasn’t enough.  She too often found herself a victim of the black joblessness crisis that is affecting millions of families nation-wide.

Did you ever wonder what President Obama looked on his prom night in 1979?  Time Magazine has revealed the pictures.

The prez is 17 years old, about to go to the prom with his classmate, Kelli Allman. His date is Megan Hughes in the light blue dress.   The other male is Greg Orme.  Barack is clearly the coolest kid in the picture, afro and all.

This is the latest revelation about the Obamas’ dating life before they met one another.  The two had been previously quiet about their individual pasts.  This week, it was revealed that Michelle may have dated the man who is in the center of the IRS scandal that is now complicating  matters for the Obama Administration.  It is being reported that the two dated when Michelle was at Harvard Law School.

Barry spent his days at the Punahou School in Hawaii studying, shooting hoops and goofing off with his friends. Greg Orme, a fellow varsity basketball player, was Obama’s constant companion.

“They were like brothers,” says Allman. On prom night, the pair double-dated. Obama and his date Megan Hughes, a student at the Hawaii School for Girls at La Pietra, joined Orme at Allman’s house, where the two couples sipped champagne before going to the dance and then an after-party. “It was a really fun, happy time. We were all cracking up, and everyone was smiling,” says Allman. “It was pretty typical from there out as far as what happens at prom: the dinner and the dancing and the photos.”
