Source: Philly.com Philadelphia lived up to its hated “Killadelphia” nickname overnight, with police reporting three homicides within six hours. In the first case, officer found a 24-year-old man shot multiple times in the torso just after 2 a.m. on Lansdowne Avenue near 56th Street in Overbrook, police spokeswoman Officer Tanya Little said. Doctors declared him dead at 2:23 a.m. at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Police listed no suspects or motive. Two hours later, a 21-year-old man died at Hahnemann University Hospital after he got shot three times in the chest, shoulder and arm about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday on Wylie Street near Ridge Avenue in Francisville, Little said. Before his death, the man told officers the name of his assailant, and detectives are questioning a suspect, Little said. And at 8 a.m. this morning, a resident found a body, shot in the head, back and buttocks, in an alley off of M Street near Kensington Avenue in Harrowgate, Little said. Police withheld the names of the three victims, pending notification of kin. But they identified a woman slain Wednesday morning in West Oak Lane as Kendra Burton, 38, who lived in the Oak Lane Court apartments at 16th near Chelten where she was stabbed multiple times. The motive in that case is listed as argument, but police reported no suspects or arrests.
