What's Happening In Your World
This week, the Rev. Jesse Jackson has one less thing to worry about in his life.  The city of Freeport, Illinois has realized that maybe prosecuting a storied civil rights leader for a minor offense might not be such a good idea.   Trespassing charges have been dropped against Jackson and 13 others in relation to a protest that took place in the city about jobs being lost to foreign workers. The Journal-Standard is reporting that the alleged trespassing took place during a rally against the decision by Sensata Technologies to ship its job overseas.  The protest had political implications, since the company was tied to former presidential candidate Mitt Romney.   The company even had the audacity to bring Chinese managers to the United States so that their American counterparts could train their replacements. The group, after being accused of trespassing, demanded a jury trial.  This prompted an attorney for Sensata to send a letter to the city of Freeport asking that the charges be dropped.  Maybe they would just rather see this one go away for good.
