A football player at Temple University has been charged with kidnapping and assaulting a woman, according to police.  Kamal Johnson, a 20-year old man, has been charged with the kidnapping and assault of an unnamed woman.  The man faces formal charges of Kidnapping, Unlawful Restraint, Simple Assault, False Imprisonment, and Reckless Endangerment of Another Person. Johnson has turned himself in to police after the incident, which occurred on September 27th.  Police say that the victim didn't file the report until this week.  She claims that Johnson broke into her apartment, forcing his way inside after the woman answered the door but would not let him in. He then told the woman to let him see her phone, pulling her out of the apartment and pushing her down a flight of stairs.  The woman dated the player for three years and described the attack to NBC 10. “He got me to his room threw me onto the chair, he choked me, punched my head, punched me on my thigh leaving a mark on back of my neck and marks on my arm from him dragging me.” The woman said that she thinks she got a concussion after she was attacked. “My head was hurting so bad. I wiped my neck, I was bleeding.” She also says that the man held her for over three hours against her will. She also said that she fears for her life. “I have not slept since Thursday, since I reported it. I’m so scared,” she said. “Temple police is telling me not to say anything.
